Mr Anand Kumar has been credited with important upgradations in the corporation like setting up of the first hydrocracker fuel distillation furnace with over 92% efficiency and the first delayed coker furnace with online spalling facility, the first commercial trial of the bio-degradation process for disposal of oily sludge and the corporation's largest RFCC. He was responsible for the first trial of catalyst additives for increasing yield of LPG, and reducing sulphur dioxide emission, besides introduction of digital control and advanced control systems in the refineries. He has also been closely involved in strategic planning of some of the Corporation's mega projects, including India 's first hydrocracker facility at Gujarat Refinery and grassroots refinery at Panipat and expansion of Barauni Oil Refinery, making it the country's highest distillate yielding refinery (86.5%). He has been instrumental in facilitating the turnaround of refineries and work culture. A founder-member of the Center For High Technology, he was also Advisor, Planning & Economics, to the Port Harcourt Refinery of Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC), Nigeria. He is an active member of All India Management Association (AIMA), American Society for Training & Development (ASTD), and a sought-after speaker on change management, environment management, and work-life balance. As an ardent practitioner of Indian philosophy, Mr Kumar has initiated major efforts to propagate Indian wellness techniques of yoga and meditation for holistic development.
A.K. Guha, a graduate engineer ( 1970) from Jadavpur University , Kolkata. presently working as Executive Director, Business Development, Corporate Office joined Indian Oil Corporation Limited in March 1975. Prior to that he worked in Oil India Limited for 4 years. During the last 36 years of working, he had various assignments in Project Execution, Construction and Operations & Maintenance. He was one of the Principal panelists of Oil Industry Safety Directorate(OISD) and had long association with Centre for High Technology(CHT). He is a member of American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME), New York , USA . Apart from presenting papers in several National and International Conferences, he also had the distinction of being a member of judging panel team for the Global Pipelines Award held at Calgary , Canada .
He has attended various training programmes in and overseas. He has also presented technical papers at various national and international seminars and conferences Currently he is heading the Lubes Department of IndianOil at its HO, Mumbai. Dr. B. Basu holds PhD. in theoretical chemistry with 3 decades of rich and varied experience in Research & Development of Indian Oil Corporation Limited. During this period, his main areas of activity included Lubricant Development, Analytical Chemistry, Catalyst and Knowledge Management. He is presently looking after the research activities in the area of Pipeline Transportation, Analytical Chemistry, Hydrogen and Emission related studies. Dr. Basu holds to his credit 3 US and 5 Indian patents. He has published over 30 research papers in professional journals.
